                               RESOLUTION NO. 18944
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
                   MAYOR TO SUBMIT THE FINAL APPLICATION AND
                   ALL UNDERSTANDINGS AND ASSURANCES CONTAINED
                   THEREIN TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF
                   HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR RECEIPT OF
                   THE SPECIAL PROJECTS GRANT TO CHATTANOOGA
                   ROOM IN THE INN, INC. AND CHATTANOOGA
                   NEIGHBORHOOD ENTERPRISE, INC. AND FURTHER
                   AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO ACT
                   IN CONNECTION WITH THE SUBMISSION OF THE
                   FINAL STATEMENT AND TO PROVIDE SUCH
                   ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AS MAY BE REQUIRED.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       and directed to submit the final application and all
       understandings and assurances contained therein to the United
       States Department of Housing and Urban Development for receipt of 

       the Special Projects Grant to Chattanooga Room In The Inn, Inc.
       and Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise, Inc.; and
       	    	 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor be and is hereby
       authorized and directed to act in connection with the submission
       of the final statement and to provide such additional information 

       as may be required.
